Recently, Dr. Pathom Sawanpanyalert, M.D., the director-general of the Department of Science Service attended as a head of ceremony for awarding Lab Certificate (ISO/IEC 17025) and Proficiency Testing Program Organizer Certificate (ISO/IEC 17043).
Dr. Pathom Sawanpanyalert, M.D., the director-general of the Department of Science Service attended as a head of ceremony for awarding lab certificate (ISO/IEC 17025) and Proficiency Testing Program Organizer Certificate (ISO/IEC 17043) at Bhumibodin Meeting Room, 6th Floor, Chemical Education Institute Building with Mrs. Pojaman Thajeen, Director of the Office of Laboratory Management and Certification giving statement that the Department of Science Service shall continue with value adding and enhancement of product safety for domestic business as a driving force for recognition regarding Thai product’s standards, which will support Thailand’s competitiveness in world market and ASEAN alike.
As for the National Quality Infrastructure (NQI), especially for the labs and proficiency testers in Thailand to gain internationally recognized standards, it will raise the confidence in Thai products to the international levels. The Department of Science Service, as a certifier of laboratories in Thailand, has continuously contributed to raise standards. Currently, there are 238 certified laboratories with the latest ISO/IEC 17025 and ISO IEC 17043 awarded to 42 more operators from the existing 234 laboratories. Managing Director of Operation; Ms. Sudhatid Saengaroonchairoj, Head of Quality Control; and Thawatchai Keeratirakavisit, Head of Public Relation represented the company in the award ceremony.
