Entering its 10th year of volunteering, ACC forges ahead with its environmental conservation efforts, planting mangrove trees at the Khlong Khon Mangrove Forest Conservation Center.
Recently, Asian Chemical Co., Ltd. (ACC), a manufacturer and distributor of chemicals (Copper Sulphate) for animal mineral nutrition, wastewater treatment chemicals (Ferric Chloride), and chemicals for the electronics industry, organized a CSR activity. The company is certified with international standards such as ISO 9001, 14001, 45001, ISO/IEC 17025, FAMI-QS, HACCP, and GMP, and has a strong base of leading customers both domestically and internationally.
Under the banner of “ACC Plants Mangrove Forest in Khlong Khon” the event was led by Mr. Thayut Srirungrojana, Managing Director and Mrs. Mallika Srirungrojana, Assistant Managing Director of the Administration Division, along with a team of volunteer employees. They collaborated with officials from the Khlong Khon Mangrove Forest Conservation Center in Samut Songkhram Province to plant mangrove trees. This effort aims to restore and conserve the mangrove forest ecosystem, making it more complete. The new trees will create habitats and food sources for aquatic animals that live in the mangrove area, while also encouraging employees to participate in the conservation of natural resources and the environment.
Mr. Thawatchai Keeratirakhawisit, the project executive, stated that in addition to the activity’s role in restoring and conserving the mangrove forest, it also helps boost local community income through boat tours and the purchase of seafood from villagers. He added that 2024 marks the company’s 10th year of commitment to carrying out various social activities (CSR) under its CH2E model (Community, Humanity, Education, Environment). The goal is to create benefits and opportunities for society, promote the country’s economic and social development, and further enhance the quality of life for society.
